Treasure Hunt SGF — Official Rules & Terms

1. Overview
Springfield Treasure Hunt is a monthly, skill‑based puzzle event operated by Springfield Treasure Hunt. Participants receive clues by email and compete to solve them correctly and fastest. This is a game of skill, not chance.2. Eligibility
Open to individuals 18 years or older. Void where prohibited. Employees, contractors, and affiliates of Springfield Treasure Hunt are not eligible to win.3. Entry & Fees
Entry requires completed registration and payment of the advertised fee (currently $25). Fees are non‑refundable once registration is confirmed.4. Gameplay
Participants receive 5–6 clues during the scheduled one‑day event. The first verified participant to submit the correct final solution wins the Grand Prize. Bonus prizes may also be awarded for special challenges or community engagement.5. Prizes
Grand Prize: $500 USD or equivalent value.
Bonus Prizes: Varied smaller rewards, such as free entries or sponsored gift cards.
Prizes are non‑transferable and may be substituted at the organizer’s discretion. Winners are responsible for all taxes on winnings.6. Odds of Winning
Dependent entirely on the number of participants and individual skill.7. Winner Verification
Winners may be required to provide identification and sign a release before prizes are issued. Submissions are timestamped automatically; the organizer’s decisions are final.8. Publicity
By entering, participants agree that Springfield Treasure Hunt may use their name, likeness, and city of residence for promotional purposes without compensation, except where prohibited by law.9. Limitation of Liability
Participants release and hold harmless Springfield Treasure Hunt, its owners, partners, and affiliates from any claim or loss arising out of participation or prize acceptance. The organizer’s total liability will not exceed the amount of the participant’s entry fee.10. Conduct & Disqualification
The organizer may disqualify any participant for cheating, tampering, or unsportsmanlike conduct. Automated or team‑based submissions are not permitted unless explicitly allowed.11. Event Changes
Springfield Treasure Hunt reserves the right to cancel, modify, or postpone the event due to circumstances beyond its control, without liability.12. Governing Law
All disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Missouri and resolved exclusively in Greene County, Missouri courts.13. Acceptance
By registering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Official Rules and the organizer’s final decisions.
